Creative Critical Reflection- Questions 3,4

Image
Good morning, Bloggers! Today I finished my creative critical reflection by answering questions three and four. I answered these questions by doing a cooking show. I hope you all enjoyed my journey throughout the year. We had our ups and downs, but we finished everything, and we made it through. Anyway, thank you all for tuning in, and see you next time for A level!

Creative Critical Reflection: Questions 1,2

Good morning, Bloggers! Today I answered the first two questions of my creative critical reflection by doing a get ready with me. I hope you all enjoy I had so much fun doing this.

My Opening Sequence

Good morning, Bloggers! Today is the day we show everyone our opening sequence. I am so excited to show you all our final product. We worked so hard on it, and I hope it shows.  I had so much fun filming this with my friends and I'm so proud of us all. Anyway, thank you all for tuning in, see you next time!

Editing: Transitions and effects!

Good morning, Bloggers! Today is the final day of editing and it is time to wrap up the video and see the final product. We needed to continue doing the titles.  We began with the studio company name. We decided on R.P.M.M. Which is just our initials in no particular order, just the way it sounds best. This title was floating around during the pool scene. Peyton was complaining that she could not use keyframes because it looked too fake and stiff. I personally thought it looked OK but then again, I am not the pro editor. She used to fade in fade out technique to look like it was fading in and out of the water.  My favorite title that is done is the ''six years later'' title. I think since it is in a different font and color entirely that you are able to clearly distinguish the difference in the timeframes.  When doing the actors names we needed to use keyframes. Keyframes although may look stiff are useful in situations when the titles are not needed to take away from

Editing: Titles and fixing scenes

Good morning, Bloggers! Today I will be discussing how my group edited our video and added the titles. When we did our music video a few months ago Peyton was our main editor. She has previous experience in editing, and we all felt that she would ultimately be the best candidate for the job. Our music video turned out amazing and we decided she should be the main editor for our opening sequence as well. Last time Peyton and use cap cut which worked out well so she decided to use it again. Since we filmed some of the shots out of order, we all needed to make sure that the videos were being uploaded correctly. I sent her our storyboard just so she would have a digital copy without having to pull it up on her laptop.  One of the things I personally noticed was that the background noise in some of the shots were so present it took away from the actual shot. We had lowered the volume all the way down and realized the need for the diegetic sound was not present. The four of us had a long di

Picking out a tune

Good morning, Bloggers! Today I will be discussing the process in which I found a song for our video. We only had a few more scenes to film so I figured it was a good time to start finding a song. Since our film genre is thriller it means that the music had to be really scary and intimidating. I wasn't sure what apt to use so I Googled a couple different websites to try to find the perfect song. Another thing I did was I watched previous opening sequences from the years before with the same genre to see if I could find a good choice of music.  Unfortunately, this song that I chose did not get chosen by the rest of the group because of some issues. Most importantly the two songs that we did choose were really great, so it worked out. I decided to use YouTube to find a song. Using the "search" bar I typed in "creepy background music." I was immediately bombarded with a hundred videos to watch. Using the titles and cover photos of the video I clicked on one that g

Changes from our peer review

Good morning, Bloggers! Today is our second "last" day for filming. Our goal is to fix our mistakes that my dad and Bella commented on in our peer review.   We first wanted to tackle the park scene and the commotion it brought. I brought up a good idea to go to the community pool by my house. Since it was not typical ''Florida weather'' no one would be at the pool to see the both of them in infant outfits. This was the easiest scene to film because we just had them both sit on lounge chairs and laugh and talk with their dolls. We had them sit kind of far away from the pool to make it look like a viewer was watching from afar. Fortunately, the scene took one take, and we walked back to our house.  I decided that it would be a good idea to get another infant scene in. In our storyboard we have that they are pushing each other On the swings. However, since we found out that the part does not work, I figured we could replace it with something else. And what a bet
